Ingredients:
1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into cubes
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
12 large shrimp, peeled & deveined
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp lemon juice
8 oz (225g) penne or pasta of choice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
1/4 cup chopped parsley (for garnish)
Directions:
1. Cook the Steak Bites: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until caramelized. Add butter, baste the steak, and remove from heat.
2. Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp and remove from heat.
3. Make the Creamy Cajun Pasta: Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. In a pan, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add cooked pasta and toss until fully coated.
4. Assemble & Serve: Plate the creamy Cajun pasta. Top with seared steak bites and garlic butter shrimp. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
