Would You Eat This Cajun Shrimp Bake

Ingredients:

For the Bake:

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)
12 oz smoked sausage, sliced into ½-inch rounds
4 small red potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 ears of corn, cut into small chunks
3 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp melted butter
1 lemon, sliced into wedges (for garnish)

For the Cajun Seasoning:

2 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
1 tsp brown sugar

Optional Garnish:

Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ingredients:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, sausage slices, potato chunks, and corn pieces.

2. Make the Cajun Seasoning:

In a small bowl, mix all the seasoning ingredients: paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, and brown sugar.

3. Season the Bake:

Drizzle the olive oil and melted butter over the shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn.
Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning evenly over the mixture. Toss well to ensure everything is coated in the seasoning and oil.

4. Bake the Dish:

Spread the seasoned mixture evenly onto a large sheet pan.
Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the potatoes are tender, the shrimp are pink and cooked through, and the sausage is lightly caramelized.

5. Serve:

Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley and lemon wedges for squeezing over
 the top.
Serve immediately, either straight from the pan or portioned onto plates.

Tips:

For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp in the Cajun seasoning for 15-20 minutes before baking.
You can line the sheet pan with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
Adjust the cayenne pepper to control the spice level.
