Ingredients:
2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil or cooking spray
Instructions:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
While the air fryer is preheating, remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps ensure even cooking.
Pat the steaks dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and pepper.
Lightly brush or spray both sides of the steaks with olive oil or cooking spray. This helps create a nice crust on the steak and prevents it from sticking to the air fryer basket.
Once the air fryer is preheated, place the seasoned ribeye steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching each other.
Cook the steaks in the air fryer for about 8-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the steaks and your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 135°F (57°C) to 140°F (60°C), medium is 145°F (63°C) to 150°F (66°C), and well-done is 160°F (71°C) and above.
Once the steaks reach your desired level of doneness, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a juicier steak.
Serve the ribeye steaks hot with your favorite side dishes, such as roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
