Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup bread crumbs or panko crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Cooking spray or oil (for spraying the chicken)
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
Season the chicken with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder, making sure to coat each piece evenly.
Coating Station:
Set up a coating station with three shallow dishes. Place flour in the first dish, beaten eggs in the second dish, and bread crumbs or panko crumbs in the third dish.
Coat the Chicken:
Dredge each seasoned chicken piece in the flour, shaking off any excess.
Dip the chicken into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
Coat the chicken with bread crumbs or panko crumbs, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs to the chicken.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
Cooking:
Lightly spray or brush the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking.
Place the coated chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching each other.
Cook the chicken in the air fryer at 380°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the chicken pieces and the specific model of your air fryer. It’s always a good idea to check for doneness by cutting into the thickest part of the chicken to ensure it’s fully cooked.
Serve:
Once the chicken is cooked through and crispy on the outside, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the air fryer fried chicken with your favorite dipping sauces and side dishes.
