Ingredients:
1 cup of butter
1 cup vegetable shortening
2 ½ tablespoons orange zest
1 ½ tablespoons lemon zest
2 cups of sugar
5 eggs
3 cups of flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 ½ cups fresh orange juice
Filling
1 cup of sugar
2 ½ tablespoons of flour
1 cup of fresh orange juice
2 egg yolks
2 butter spoons
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease and flour 2 ramekins of the same size and line with paper.
Whisk together butter, shortening, orange and lemon zest, and sugar.
Add the eggs and mix well, gradually adding the flour, baking powder and salt, alternating with the orange juice.
Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans and bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown. Unmold to cool while preparing filling.
Combine sugar, flour, orange juice, and egg yolks in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat and stir until slightly boiled and thickened. Remove from heat, add butter, and let cool.
Place one layer of bread, filling, another layer of bread and more filling or pitch on a plate to taste, such as B. whipped cream or sprinkle with grated coconut.
