Chocolate Tres Leches Cake






Ingredients:


FOR THE CAKE


ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR

1 3/4 cups

SUGAR

1 3/4 cups

UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER

3/4 cup

BAKING POWDER

1 tsp

BAKING SODA

2 tsp

SALT

1 tsp

BUTTERMILK

1 cup

VEGETABLE OIL

1/2 cup

LARGE EGGS

2VANILLA

1 tsp

FRESHLY BREWED STRONG HOT COFFEE

1 cup

FOR THE FILLING


SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK

1 14-ounce can

HALF AND HALF

3/4 cup

EVAPORATED MILK

3/4 cup

UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER

3 tbsp

FOR THE WHIPPED CREAM

POWDERED SUGAR

1 cup

UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER

1/2 cup

COLD HEAVY CREAM

3 cups




Instructions:



From cake to cake. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease the casserole dish with cooking spray. Set aside.

Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.

Stir to combine.

Step 3

Whisk buttermilk, oil, eggs and vanilla in a bowl. Turn the mixer to the lowest setting and gradually add the flour mixture to the oil mixture. Stir in the coffee, then gently stir the batter with a spatula.

Step 4

Pour the batter into the casserole. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Your cake is done baking when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and free of crumbs. Take the pan out of the oven and poke a few holes in the cake with your chopsticks.
